Use GiftDetector fairly, treat AI results as suggestions, and confirm the details with the retailer before buying. Retailer-link purchases happen with the retailer; GiftDetector purchasing assistance requires approval of an exact quote and separately arranged payment. Your legal consumer rights still apply.

The workspace organizes client profiles, occasion programs, gift selections, planning budgets and approvals. You must have authority to use the contact information you submit. Upcoming plans are prepared when you open the workspace or request them. Programs do not monitor a CRM or send gifts in the background. Shared teammate access is not available.
Approving a plan allocates a planning allowance. It is not a purchase, payment, inventory reservation or delivery promise. Submit an approved plan from Deliveries to request a quote. Active requests preserve a snapshot of the plan; changes to their approved delivery details require cancellation and a new request.
Planning is free. GiftDetector quotes a service fee of 15% of the gift price, with a $5 minimum for one recipient order, plus the itemized gift, shipping and tax. No monthly subscription or automatic card charge is created. The exact quote is shown for approval before a purchase is arranged.
Requesting a gift from GiftDetector
GiftDetector reviews requests, purchases from retailers, and records delivery updates manually. You must be at least 18 and authorized to supply the recipient’s US delivery address. Submitting a request does not place an order, charge you or notify the recipient. We may decline a request we cannot fulfill. An occasion date is a target, not a guaranteed delivery date.
A quote identifies one exact item and its options, retailer, delivery address, gift note, shipping, tax, service fee and total in US dollars. Approving the current quote authorizes those details and that maximum total, subject to payment being arranged separately. A changed item or a higher total needs fresh approval. Quotes expire if not approved in time. Approval does not collect payment. Do not send card numbers, security codes or banking credentials to GiftDetector by email or in notes.
After payment is confirmed, the operator places the retailer order. Stock, packaging, gift-note support and delivery depend on the retailer; any known restriction is included in the quote. If a purchase cannot be made as approved, we will contact you rather than silently substitute or spend more. Any difference between the amount paid and the recorded gift, shipping, tax and service fee is shown as a refund due.
You can cancel before payment or purchasing. Later cancellation requests must be checked against the retailer order and are not confirmed merely by clicking request cancellation. If a request is confirmed canceled, the amount paid is recorded as due back until a customer refund is confirmed. After delivery, contact thegiftdetector@gmail.com for returns or other issues; retailer return conditions and your applicable rights may affect the outcome. A retailer refund to GiftDetector and a refund to you are separate steps. Status updates are entered by the operator and may lag carrier information. Never arrange a replacement solely because a checkout response was unclear.
Who operates GiftDetector
GiftDetector is operated by Ethan Nguyen as an individual. In these Terms, “GiftDetector,” “we,” and “us” refer to Ethan Nguyen operating this service. You can reach us at thegiftdetector@gmail.com.
These Terms cover giftdetector.com, its gift finder, accounts, agency workspaces, client profiles, programs, budgets, approvals, recipient profiles, gift plans, saved lists, shared lists, and gift guides. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it. Our Privacy & Cookies policy explains how information is handled.
Using the service and your account
You must be at least 13 to use GiftDetector, or older if the law where you live requires it. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. A parent or guardian permitting use is responsible for that use.
Provide accurate account information, keep your login secure, and use only accounts you are entitled to access. Let us know if you suspect unauthorized access. Our sign-in provider handles passwords, verification, and connected sign-in accounts. Do not share your password or verification codes with us.
Gift guides and product listings are free to browse without an account. AI gift searches require sign-in. An account also lets you save gift lists and keep chats across visits. Historical guest chats from an earlier visit may be associated with the first account you sign in to in that browser, as explained in our privacy policy.
Free searches and availability
GiftDetector currently offers free access with daily search allowances. The app shows your available searches and reset time. Follow-up requests also count. Account, browser, bot-prevention, and site-wide limits can restrict searches even when an individual allowance remains.
There is currently no paid subscription. We may change free allowances, features, or availability as we develop the service. Any future paid offer will show its price and require a separate purchase decision before you are charged. We do not promise uninterrupted service or permanent availability of a particular feature.
Gift suggestions and AI
GiftDetector provides ideas and research assistance. AI can misunderstand a request or produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. Recommendations and guides are not guarantees that a gift is suitable, safe, authentic, available, or the best price.
Check the retailer’s current listing, product specifications, age guidance, safety warnings, seller, price, and delivery before buying. Listed prices are reference prices that may exclude tax and shipping. A budget match does not guarantee the price on the purchase page. Source links and dates do not mean we have personally tested a product.
Do not rely on gift suggestions as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Use your own judgment about the recipient’s needs and preferences.
Retailers and affiliate links
Gift plans are organizational records, not orders or delivery reservations. Saving a plan, entering an occasion date, or downloading a calendar event does not purchase a gift. GiftDetector’s separately approved purchasing assistance is described above. Calendar reminders require you to import the event into your calendar and follow that service’s notification settings. Purchases made through retailer links take place on independent retailer websites. For purchases you make directly through those links, GiftDetector does not sell, ship, warrant, or accept returns for the products. Your purchase is governed by the retailer’s terms. Contact the retailer about those orders, payments, delivery, returns, or refunds. Contact GiftDetector about a gift purchased through our separately approved assistance service.
We may earn commissions from qualifying purchases through affiliate links. Among similarly suitable options, affiliate availability can influence which product we prioritize. Your requests and saved content
You keep any rights you have in the requests, notes, and other content you provide. You give us permission to store, process, and transmit that content to our service providers as needed to operate the features you use, including generating suggestions and showing lists you choose to share. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
Only submit information you have the right to use. Keep gift requests focused on interests and preferences. Use the dedicated gift-request address fields for authorized delivery information. Do not include addresses in AI prompts or general notes. Avoid payment credentials, health records, or other sensitive information about yourself or someone else. You are responsible for deciding what to share.
Anyone with an enabled list-sharing link can view its products. Turning off a list link prevents future access through that link, but cannot retrieve copies others have already made. Individually copied product links remain public.
Fair use and site content
Do not use GiftDetector to break the law, infringe others’ rights, submit malicious code, harass people, access someone else’s private data, or interfere with the service. Do not automate requests or rotate accounts, browsers, or identifiers to bypass search allowances, bot checks, or other safeguards.
GiftDetector’s original branding, design, and site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the service for its intended purpose and share its public links. Other uses must respect our rights and the rights of product owners, retailers, and other third parties. Product names, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Stopping use or closing an account
You can stop using GiftDetector at any time. Signed-in users can export or delete gift data from Your account. Deleting gift data does not close the sign-in account or reset security limits. To request full account closure, email thegiftdetector@gmail.com from the account’s email address. We may verify ownership before acting.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, protect users, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the restriction and provide a way to contact us. We may discontinue the service; save a copy of information you want to keep.
Service limitations and your rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. We take reasonable care, but cannot guarantee that every suggestion, third-party link, or external service will work correctly.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, such as lost business opportunities, or for independent retailers’ conduct. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or takes away mandatory consumer rights.
If you have a concern, please contact us so we can try to resolve it. These Terms do not require private arbitration or prevent you from using courts, regulators, or other remedies available under applicable law.
Changes to these Terms
We will update the date on this page when these Terms change. For material changes affecting your rights or use of the service, we will provide a prominent notice on the site or another appropriate notice before the change takes effect, and seek renewed agreement where required.
